    Dr. Matos provides online therapy or teletherapy services in Calfiornia using a secure HIPAA compliant platform. Meeting virtually feels similar to using video chat like FaceTime or Zoom and provides many benefits including accessibility, flexibility and comfort while providing the opportunity to build a therapeutic relationship.

    The approach to therapy is client-centered and combines a biopsychosocial perspective with various evidence based and third wave practices (CBT, ACT, DBT). Treatment focuses on strength and resilience using affirmative principles. Individuals may present with a wide range of psychological issues ranging from mental health conditions like anxiety and depression, to coping with health and life stressors, to navigating body image concerns, visible and invisible differences, and overcoming shame and stigmatization.
